NAVY Selects Moog for TACAN Upgrade

East Aurora, NY, USA (October 2007) — Moog Inc. announced that it has been selected by the US Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego, to modernize and upgrade AN/URN-25 shipboard and shore based Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) systems. The award covers engineering, production and technical support, with deliveries starting in 2009.

The MM-7000 Platform represents Moog’s 3rd generation TACAN System and is designed to maximize performance and reliability. It features a highly integrated design using next generation Digital Signal Processing, Remote Maintenance & Monitoring (RMM) capability and Built in Testing (BIT). The System is available in either dual or single mode configuration with 4000W soft-fail Power Amplifiers.
