For over 50 years, Moog has been a leading supplier of precision servohydraulic and servoelectric control products and systems for industrial applications.

Moog’s product line includes explosion-proof products, which are used where fire or explosion hazards exist due to the presence of flammable gases or vapors, flammable liquids, combustible dust, or easily ignitable fibers.

Moog has created an extensive product line of rugged and proven Servovalve and Servo-Proportional Valves that cover applications within the power generation, chemical processing, oil exploration, and wood products industries, to name a few. The Moog explosion-proof valve offering includes intrinsically-safe, flameproof and “increased safety” designs. We work with the customer to select the specific product based on hazardous environment requirements of the application.

Flameproof Servovalves

• Electrical Feedback Valves (EFB) with ATEX and FM approvals
• Mechanical Feedback Valves (MFB) with ATEX and CSA approvals
• Suitable for occasional, frequent, and short-period explosive atmospheres as defined in safety regulations

Intrinsically-Safe Servovalves

• Mechanical Feedback Valves (MFB)
• ATEX, FM, CSA, and TIIS approvals
• Moog can comply with the highest safety levels (e.g., suitable for ATEX: II 1 G EEx ia IIC T6 or T5)
• Suitable for continuous, long-term, occasional, frequent, and short-period explosive environments as defined in safety regulations

Flameproof Servo-Proportional Valves

• Electrical Feedback Valves (EFB)
• ATEX approval
• Suitable for occasional, frequent, and short-period explosive atmospheres as defined in safety regulations

Moog’s ATEX certified Servomotors and Servoactuators can be found in applications such as enameling, chemical, and turbine industries.

Our Servomotors and Servoactuators are TIIS and ATEX certified and include applications in the gas and steam turbine industries.
