Moog has a long history of providing advanced features needed for demanding applications. For example fail-safe versions of some of our most popular valve models are critical to machines in a variety of applications where workers need maximum protection. Our explosion-proof line of products are used in environments where fire or explosion hazards exist. In addition, Moog frequently customizes products by modifying valve components for improved performance.

Moog’s long history of close collaboration with customers means that we have vast experience with design and building special valves. For example many of our valve models have the option of offering a special construction and modifications needed for certification as explosion-proof which means they can used where fire or explosion hazards exist due to the presence of flammable gases or vapors, flammable liquids, combustible dust, or easily ignitable fibers. Another special modification that Moog routinely performs is customized spool null cutting to solve specific system or machine problems.
