Jyothi Shankar
Master Planner
India
Moog was the first organization I had ever worked for. And, after 10 years, it's still the only one. I joined the company as a Receptionist after graduating from University. It was at a time in my life when I was considering my career options, but no sooner had I started at Moog, I knew it was the organization I wanted to progress my career with. And that's exactly what I did. Working on the reception desk, I had enough free time to learn other cross-functional jobs and, as time when by, my skills began to develop. I was soon promoted to the position of Materials Assistant, then Materials Planner and then Imports Coordinator. Today I am the Master Planner.
Work at Moog has always been motivating, driving and exhilarating. I have the freedom to devise my own systems and implement my ideas. And at the end of the day, whether I've been working on new projects, planning or problem solving, I always feel like I've made a real difference.
I have so many great memories from my time here. But the best ones are those where I've learnt something new. Of course, good memories aren't always work related. We have so many extra activities such as events, get-togethers and celebrations – even lunch with colleagues can build memories. But, if I had to pick a favorite, I really enjoyed attending the Master Schedule Training program at Moog in the Philippines. It was great to interact with colleagues from around the world and learn about their working methods.
