Quality Systems Supervisor

My wife and I decided beginning of 2008 to move from Denmark to Ireland. We have been in Ireland several times for holidays - fell in love with the beautiful country, the Irish people and the music culture - and have for years talking about trying to live in Ireland.

A recruitment company introduced me to Moog and after reading about the company and visiting the site in Cork, I was quit confident, that moving to Cork and starting at Moog would be a good decision.

I joined the company in August 2008 and felt welcome from the very first day. I met different people and was introduced to some of the processes and started to look into my own responsibilities as Quality Systems Supervisor.

The job as Quality Systems Supervisor is ideal for me – in this role, I will be involved in all the processes within the company in one or another way and I will create a lot on personal contacts.

Main areas in my job are Documentation Control, Change & Configuration Management, Audit, and Corrective Actions Management as well. Two employees are helping me to provide a good service to Development, Production, Purchasing, Planning etc.

It’s a challenge to keep thinking in processes & continuous improvements and get an overall understanding of all the processes – not just within Moog Ltd. – but also in relation to corporate terms.

I strongly believe that the high quality & reliability is an important factor and that we constantly need to improve our ways to do things. This will contribute to the overall business development - and being part of this makes me proud.

After almost a year at Moog Ltd. I can only say that I am really happy for taking the change. Moog is a really nice place to work. People are very skilled and professional, friendly and helpful, and I also enjoy participating in many of the events in the Sports & Social club we have here at Moog Ltd.
