I wasn't really looking to change jobs when I moved to Moog, but I'm pleased I did. I had a good job as a Software Engineer at a very large company in Venice. In actual fact, I'd just bought a new house and was about to get married, so I was quite settled where I was. But my fiancée mentioned Moog were looking for people, so I arranged an interview. I was convinced to join more or less immediately.

So I resigned, sold my new house and moved the 200km from Venice to Brescia, and began a whole new chapter in my life. I haven't looked back since. Moog's a very prestigious company with a great reputation all across the world. But there's no sense of arrogance here at all. The environment's friendly and cozy, and I've really enjoyed my time here. Not just whilst working, either: there are always lots of after work social events, from indoor skiing to kart racing. I've also had the opportunity to travel around the world, something I regard a real benefit.

My main responsibility is managing customers. I'm the interface between customers and the company. It's all about relationships, and I'm frequently off site visiting customers so that I can give them what they're really looking for. There's a real emphasis on people at Moog, whether they work here or they're our customers.
