I started work for Hydrolux before it was bought by Moog. There's always a slight settling-in period when two businesses come together, but it soon became clear to me how Moog operated. The managers were open-minded people who shared information and made me feel a valued member of the team – it's a trusting environment and a friendly atmosphere.
You can develop your own personality at Moog. It's not about working for a big company, it's about all the engineers and specialists working together and sharing ideas. All over the world Moog people are open and friendly, and there's always a fantastic environment. There are also some really interesting products and markets that Moog are involved with. It's great because there are always new tasks to be worked on and projects to be completed. Because it works across many markets and countries there's also plenty of career opportunities.
I manage a new team in Luxembourg that links sales, planning and procurement to provide administrative control in business operations, but I still get involved with the technical side too. The training programmes Moog offer means I'm always developing my skills in management, and the many new challenges on a day-to-day basis makes my work so interesting. In fact, I think my favorite project here was designing the new facility in Luxembourg. Moog trained us in new technologies to make this possible, and now we have a lasting example of our work to take pride in.
