Power Drive Units
A Power Drive Unit is used to convert electrical or hydraulic power into mechanical motion (often rotary) and drive a mechanical actuation system.
Moog’s heritage in power drive units covers electrical and hydraulic inputs provided in torque and speed summed configurations. Hybrid hydraulic/electric powered drives have been used in some applications. Power drive hardware includes the hydraulic motors and control modules, electric motors, reduction gearing, stop modules, torque limiters and braking mechanisms.
