- Hydraulic manifold assembly experienced fatigue cracks, obsolescence issues
- Depot facilities unable to support repair demand rate due to long lead times and lack of availability for component parts
Our Solution:
- Reverse engineer hydraulic manifold and all internal component parts
- Develop a second source of supply for critical parts
- Redesign manifold to eliminate fatigue failures
- Eliminate use of forging for manifold to reduce lead-time
- $3.4M reverse engineering program will deliver improved design at a lower cost and much shorter lead-time (18 mo. LT reduction)
