Pitch Servo Drives - PITCHmaster II+
Moog leveraged substantial experience to design the rugged PITCHmaster II+ Servo Drive so that it can withstand harsh operating conditions in the rotor hubs of wind turbines. Our electric Pitch Systems with the Moog Pitch Servo Drives allow for wind turbine installation heights of up to 3,000 m (9843 ft) and service temperatures up to +70°C (158°F). The systems have been tested in a climate chamber from -40°C (-40°F) to +80°C (+185°F) and can therefore guarantee the system’s temperature resistance.
Some new features of the PITCHmaster II+ are the three axes sensor and integrated battery charger. The newly integrated three axes acceleration sensor enables you to measure the acceleration inside the rotor hub during operation, as well as determine the current rotor speed at any point in time. An integral battery charger and additional functionality of the PITCHmaster II+ Servo Drive reduce the cabinet components and keep additional work to a minimum.
