Moog Announces Acquisition of PRIZM
20 November 2007Moog announced today that it has acquired PRIZM Advanced Communications Electronics Inc. for $12 million in cash. PRIZM, a Baltimore, Maryland based company, specializes in the design and manufacture of fiber optic and wireless video and data multiplexers used in commercial and military subsea markets for oil and gas exploration, terrestrial robotics and remote sensing applications.
New Moog Valve Controls Latest Swedish Comm Satellite
17 November 2007On November 17, Swedish firm SES SIRIUS AB's Sirius 4 satellite, controlled in part by Moog's new Common Platform Thruster Valve (CPTV), roared into orbit aboard an International Launch Services Proton rocket. Departing from the Cosmodrome in Baikonur, Russia, the Sirius 4 will beam direct-to-home broadcast and interactive services across Scandinavia, Europe and Africa.
Moog Announces Logistics Center
1 November 2007Moog Inc. announced its intentions to open a new logistics center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The facility will provide rapid response support of Moog aircraft products to airlines operating in the Middle East, Southwest Asia and Northern Africa.
Moog Hardware On Two Satellites, Launch Vehicle
5 October 2007As Moog Propellant Valve Assemblies (PVAs) helped control the October 5 launch of an Ariane 5 rocket from its jungle launch pad, an unprecedented two communications satellites in the ship's payload carried Moog thruster valves, solar array drives and antenna point mechanisms. Orbital Sciences Corporation's Intelsat 11 spacecraft was deployed first, separating nearly 28 minutes after liftoff, followed by a dual-payload launch structure that enabled the release of the Optus D2, 32 minutes into the ascent.
NAVY Selects Moog for TACAN Upgrade
1 October 2007Moog Inc. announced that it has been selected by the US Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego, to modernize and upgrade AN/URN-25 shipboard and shore based Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) systems.

3 May 2007Moog announced today that it has acquired Thermal Control Products Inc. for $7.5 million, including $4.3 million in cash with the balance due in notes payable over 3 years. TCP specializes in the design, prototype and manufacture of electronic cooling and air moving systems.

High Performance Brushless DC Silencer Motors are New Solutions for Dusty and Wet Environments.
13 April 2007Moog Components Group has announced the introduction of a new version of the Silencer Series brushless DC motor that will expand the motor line providing new motion solutions. The BN-IP motor is designed for those applications requiring reliability and high performance in a dusty or wet environment. Typical uses for this motor are packaging and food processing equipment, medical pumps and robotic systems.
Boeing Selects Moog for Ares I Industry Team
10 April 2007Moog will join a team of suppliers led by Boeing in pursuit of a contract for production of the upper stage for the Ares I crew launch vehicle, NASA's first new human-rated launch vehicle since the space shuttle.
Moog in China Expands to a New Facility in Shanghai
15 March 2007Shanghai, China (March 15, 2007): Moog held the opening ceremony for its new facility in Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone, Shanghai, China on March 15, 2007. This year also marks the 10-year anniversary of Moog’s operations in China. The new facility will reinforce Moog’s manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service capabilities to provide full system solutions to our local Chinese customers, and our global customers with a presence in China.
Moog wins 10-year test equipment supply agreement with Airbus
12 March 2007Moog FCS, a worldwide provider of high-performance aerospace test equipment and a part of Moog Inc. (NYSE:MOG.A and MOG.B ), has secured a contract to provide Airbus with multi-channel digital servo control system requirements for all of the Airbus ground-based testing facilities until at least 2016. Moog FCS will be the sole source to Airbus on for multi-channel digital servo control systems, providing Airbus the benefits of a single platform across all of its structural testing facilities in Germany, United Kingdom, France and Spain. Under the agreement, initial system deliveries have commenced and will run until May 2016.
Moog Receives Frost & Sullivan North American Flight Simulation Technology Innovation Award
