The Blade Test Center of The Suzlon Energy Group Validates New Rotor Blades Utilizing Moog’s Test Systems
3 December 2009East Aurora, N.Y., USA– Moog’s Industrial Group announced today that the new state-of-the-art Blade Test Center Gujarat (BTCG), owned by the Suzlon Group, the world’s third largest wind turbine manufacturer, has successfully completed tests on a new wind turbine rotor blade using a Moog test system.

Moog Strengthens its Wind Energy Business Through Re-branding of Insensys Offering

Insensys individual pitch control and rotor blade monitoring systems for wind turbines have been incorporated into Moog’s product portfolio on a global basis. This strengthens and extends Moog’s range of pitch control solutions for the wind energy industry. Moog completed the acquisition of Insensys in April 2009.
Moog’s Aerospace Test Solution To Support Ambitious Helicopter Program from Korean Aerospace Research Institute
17 August 2009East Aurora, NY USA – Moog’s Industrial Group, a division of Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B), has delivered an aerospace test rig to the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) that will perform a wide range of structural and fatigue tests for helicopters. This system is part of a multi-billion dollar procurement project by the South Korean Ministry of National Defense to develop and build 245 utility helicopters over a 16-year period.

Moog Completes Acquisition of LTi REEnergy GmbH
2 June 2009East Aurora, N.Y. – After taking a 40 percent ownership stake in privately held LTi REEnergy GmbH last June, Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B) has acquired the remaining 60 percent of the Unna, Germany-based company . Moog is acquiring two manufacturing and testing facilities, one in Unna, Germany, and the other in Shanghai, China; and a widely used electric wind turbine blade pitch control system that complements Moog’s existing blade pitch control, rotor monitoring and slip ring systems.
Moog Slip Rings for Reliable, Long Life Transmission of Power and Data Signals for Wind Turbines
4 May 2009Moog Components Group has announced the introduction of a new slip ring that is a direct replacement for pitch control slip rings on the GE 1.5 MW series wind turbines. The AC7008 slip ring provides reliable transmission of power and data signals from the nacelle to the control system for the rotary blades.
