East Aurora, N.Y – Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B) has completed the integration of Berkeley Process Control and has re-branded Berkeley’s offerings as Moog. Last October, Moog acquired Berkeley in order to add a line-up of high-performance motion control products for improving manufacturing processes across an array of industrial applications. For example, Berkeley’s software and hardware automate the precision handling of semiconductor wafers and enhance the speed, quality and safety of welding for complex technical applications.
“We believe the Berkeley acquisition opens new markets for us, and this re-branding effort is a logical way to introduce users and potential buyers of Berkeley’s products to Moog,” said Dave Fijas, group vice president and general manager of Moog Industrial Group, Americas. “The Moog name is synonymous with delivering high-performance motion control solutions like Berkeley’s. Berkeley’s customers will benefit from Moog’s global footprint and its technology and engineering assets.”
Berkeley’s BX-series of products will now be branded as the Moog BX-series. And the patented Berkeley Autocalibration® technology, which improves the productivity of semiconductor wafer-handling equipment, will now be known by the name Moog Autocalibration®.
The Moog BX-300™ Motion & Machine Controller is a pre-integrated hardware and software platform for motion control. The platform’s flexible architecture enables manufacturers to design sophisticated solutions for complex motion control challenges. The Moog BX-300™ also accelerates the time it takes machine builders to bring new designs to market.
