Moog Selected by US Marine Corps for Man Portable TACAN Program

Moog Inc. announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command to provide more than 50 Man Portable Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) systems to the U.S. Marine Corps. The award covers engineering, production and technical support, with deliveries starting in 2009.

The 400W TRN-47 is Moog’s third generation Man Portable TACAN system and is designed to maximize performance, range and reliability under harsh field conditions. This certified system can be assembled and operational in less than 30 minutes to support war fighters for various applications.
