Moog Launches New AC7036 Slip Ring
25 January 2010Blacksburg, VA, USA – Moog’s Components Group segment, based in Blacksburg, VA, has announced the introduction of a new compact slip ring that combines two slip ring models into one unit. The AC7036 slip ring integrates an AC6349 and AC6355. This new combination offers a wide range of circuit capabilities.
The outer capsule slip ring has 6, 12, 18 or 24 power circuits rated at 15 amps and the inner slip ring can be configured with 2, 5, 10 amp or coax signal circuits. The AC7036 slip ring is from 2.9 to 6.5 inches (73.7 to 165.1 mm) in length and 3.1 inches (78.7 mm) in diameter with speeds up to 150 rpm. A key advantage of this slip ring is its multiple circuit combinations.
Slip rings are used in electromechanical systems that require unrestrained, intermittent or continuous rotation while transferring power and data. Typical applications for the AC7036 are packaging equipment, rotary tables, gimble systems and robotics.
Additional features of the AC7036 include:
• Isolations between power and signal
• Low torque
• Rotor flange for ease of mounting
• Compact package design
