Actuators & Servoactuators
Solar Array Drives
Solar Array Drives may utilize one or two-axis rotation, may involve continuous rotation capability on one or both of those axes, and may drive one or two solar panels. The most frequently used configurations are the following:
- Body mounted on spacecraft pitch axis. Continuous rotation in pitch; limited angle capability on an orthogonal axis.
- Boom mounted, with double-ended output for two solar panels. Continuous rotation on our outer (spacecraft pitch) axis; partial rotation capability at each solar panel interface.
