RELEASAT^TM
A biological indicator system for use in monitoring the efficacy of ETHYLENE OXIDE gas sterilization cycles. Releasat Biological Indicator Culturing Sets consist of strips containing spores of B. atrophaeus (B. subtilis var. niger) (ATCC#9372), and culture tubes (16 x 100 mm) containing 3.8± 0.2 ml of sterile proprietary culture media. The RELEASAT™ medium is specially formulated for rapid outgrowth of B. atrophaeus spores that may have survived the ethylene oxide gas process. RELEASAT™ provides easy visual confirmation of sterilization within 72 hours (36°C - 38°C incubator required). Performance of the biological indicator has been determined for the combination of culture medium and spore strips; therefore, the components must be used as a set. The strips used in the culture sets meet the current USP, ISO 11138 requirements, and the FDA CDRH guidelines for reduced incubation time (RIT).

MagnaAmp^TM
A self-contained biological indicator for monitoring STEAM sterilization of liquids. Totally self-contained unit containing spores of G. stearothermophilus (B. stearothermophilus) (ATCC #7953) suspended in a specially formulated culture medium, sealed inside a 1ml score snap-top ampoule. Ampoules are approximately 1 3/4" in length. The MagnaAmp™ provides easy visual confirmation of sterilization within 48 hours without the need of difficult and time-consuming laboratory transfers (55°C - 60°C incubator required). Ten (10) negative controls supplied with each box.

SterilAmp® II
A self-contained biological indicator for monitoring STEAM sterilization of liquids in small containers. Totally self-contained unit containing spores of G. stearothermophilus (B. stearothermophilus) (ATCC #7953) suspended in a specially formulated culture medium, sealed inside a small thin-walled pharmaceutical grade glass ampoule. Ampoules are 1/4" in diameter and 1" long. The SterilAmp® provides easy visual confirmation of sterilization within 48 hours without the need of difficult and time-consuming laboratory transfers (55°C - 60°C incubator required). Ten (10) negative controls supplied with each bag.

EZTest ®
A self-contained biological indicator for monitoring STEAM or ETHYLENE OXIDE sterilization. EZTest contains bacterial spores on a filter-paper carrier packaged within a small, thermoplastic culture tube. Inside the thermoplastic culture tube is a sealed glass ampoule of specially formulated soybean casein digest culture medium containing a color indicator which turns a dramatic yellow when spores grow. EZTest is easy to use and produces visual results within 48 hours without laboratory transfers (incubators required). To activate the indicator after the sterilization process, the ampoule is crushed, mixing the media with the spore strip.
