Manufacturing Services
Moog offers comprehensive capabilities for the manufacture of medical devices, from molded parts to complete complex integrated sets. Moog maintains a controlled environment, before entering our manufacturing area, all personnel pass through a gowning room to wash and dry their hands and don head covers, gowns and booties.
Moog conducts all manufacturing operations in a 25,000 square foot ISO Class 7 clean room facility. We can also perform special operations under ISO Class 5 hoods, if necessary to meet your specifications.
Multiple Station RF/Heat Sealing
Moog can design unique semi automated turntables for peripheral sealing, stub and tube sealing and hot stamping with quick changeover capabilities.
Ultrasonic Welding
Ultrasonic welders are available for individual parts and complex assemblies with multiple components.
Injection Molding
With multiple machines ranging from 30 to 150 ton for injection molding of medical plastics, our capabilities extend from rapid prototype development through production. Electronic process controls ensure quality, reliability and reproducibility.
Sheet/Film Processing
Moog employs automated and semi automated equipment for hot stamping and for cutting sheet film to length prior to RF or heat sealing.
Tube & Catheter Fabrication
We offer a wide range of capabilities using RF, induction and heat forming techniques for tips, holes and eyes.
Bag Integrity/Leak Testing
Multiple fast-cycling leak testers enable us to perform 100% inspection, when required, for a high volume of sealed bags.
Bag Manufacturing
Moog has a wide range of RF and heat sealing equipment for bag and chamber fabrication, including single presses, shuttles and turntables. With our semi automated equipment, bags can be RF welded and heat sealed. Additional processes include hot stamping, hole punching, cutting to length and dual cycle, single step peripheral sealing of multiple components.
