Disposable Post-Operative Pain Control Pump Accufuser Disposable Post-Operative Pain Control Pump

Increase Patient Satisfaction, Accelerate Recovery Times, and Reduce Operating Costs

The Accufuser is a flexible and easy-to-use pain management system that combines elastomeric infusion with local anesthetics administered continuously or via patient-controlled bolus dosing.

The Accufuser family includes disposable ambulatory pumps, catheter kits with all items required for placement of the pain management catheter, and all-inclusive convenience packs.

Flexible: Patented mechanical infusion technology ensures precise and reliable delivery to prevent over or under infusion. Can be used from 1 to 5 days and delivers 0.5 to 10 mL/hr. Offers 7 basal rates with 2 bolus volume options (with 3 lockout intervals).

Patient Satisfaction: Continuous local anesthesia delivery combined with patient-controlled bolus dosing improves pain management. Patients exhibit lower pain scores, less medication use, and accelerated recovery times.

Easy to Use: Straightforward operation and packaging makes training and preparation easy and safe. Pump is easily filled and primed for use and settings are very easy to read.

Reduces Total Cost: The combination of controlled customization options, safe and easy use, and dependable technology effectively reduces operating cost through training cost savings and increased patient engagement.

The Accufuser comes in a wide variety of reservoir sizes, flow rates, bolus options, and delivery times. Learn more about these different options here.

  • Operating Temperature

Accufuser systems are calibrated to deliver solution at the labeled nominal flow rate when the temperature of the infusate in the distal end (Accufuser) or bolus button (Accufuser Plus) is 32° C (89.6° F) [normal skin temperature]. The flow rate increases approximately 1% per 0.56° C (1° F) increase in temperature

  • Fluid Viscosity

Accufuser systems are calibrated using 5% dextrose in water (D5W) as the infusate. Flow rate increases as fluid viscosity decreases (e.g., using sterile water as the diluent will increase the flow rate by approximately 10%)

  • Head Height

Accufuser systems are calibrated with zero head height. Increased head height will cause increased flow rate (e.g., + 17"/+43 cm of head height will increase flow rate by approximately 12%)
