24 September 2012
East Aurora, NY, USA – Moog and ERA have entered into a strategic marketing alliance for the ERA Multi-sensor Surveillance System (MSS) in the US and selected international territories. The agreement will provide Moog's established customer base access to the latest Next Gen/SESAR technologies for air traffic surveillance and will provide ERA an expanded sales channel for MSS, especially in the United States.
The ERA MSS system uses proven ADS-B and multilateration technologies, delivering a higher performance and more cost effective surveillance solution than secondary radar. It can be used to provide surveillance for terminal and en-route areas as well as movement on the airport surface. The system is already operationally deployed with over 100 systems located in 39 countries around the world. MSS has an established track record being the first wide-area multilateration (WAM) system certified and operational.
