ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS
OVERVIEW
Moog builds off its proven spacecraft avionics and high power control systems to supply controls for solar array and battery management power and switching and telemetry for that bus line power to valves, motors, torque rods and other end effectors. In addition, Moog is developing products for Power Management and Distribution (PMAD) Systems such as high power DC converters, switching and power stabilization.
POWER DISTRIBUTION
The Integrated Avionics Unit (IAU) provides power switching for valves, motors, torque rods and other end effectors via its 3U based controllers. Moog is developing higher voltage and power switching units for larger control needs in the industry.
POWER MANAGEMENT
The Integrated Avionics Unit (IAU) provides power management for solar array and rechargeable battery systems. Moog is currently developing higher voltage power management systems for future space exploration systems.
POWER STORAGE
Moog has developed a modular electrical power system known as MEPS. The MEPS system was developed to augment multiple different power systems to provide short duration power system needs and stabilization of the power bus line.
