Environmental, Social, and Governance Information for Investors

We recognize that our Company is an organization with obligations to a number of different constituencies. Moog's stakeholders include employees, customers, shareholders, suppliers, and the communities in which we operate.

Moog has facilities in the United States, Canada, and in 24 countries around the globe, including subsidiaries that are wholly owned or controlled by Moog. Our subsidiaries are required to adopt our compliance requirements, including those related to business ethics, anti-bribery, data privacy, human rights and human trafficking.

Integrating “ESG” thoroughly into investment decisions requires consideration of our multiple corporate disclosures as well as the review of alternative data sources prepared by third parties. Supply chain practices, resource usage and workforce management issues may be limited to what is made publicly available at a given moment in time--and such disclosures may be dated due to filing calendars and other resource limitations.  In some areas, government or national regulatory disclosure requirements may drive third party ESG scores, and such scores may reward disclosure but not necessarily current performance. Consider that third party ratings:

  • May not discern between very different business models in the same industry.
  • May not apply equally to all of our businesses, subsidiaries or product lines.
  • May be evaluated on aged data and/or may not be updated regularly to consider changes or new practices in our businesses.
  • May not consider changes in policies implemented that could improve performance relative to that of a third party-selected peer group.

As a Company, we encourage investors to consider ESG information alongside their traditional fundamental analysis, but also to consider ESG as a topic to best be discussed through direct contact with our management. This insures the alignment, integration, and consideration of a range of many variables, which might not be clear in standard disclosures or in data and metrics prepared by third party reports. Moog is committed to expanding its sustainability strategy and reporting for ESG topics and we will gladly discuss the topic with shareholders and potential shareholders via direct engagement.

Certain documents and policies developed for Moog employees are referenced on moog.com for use by stakeholders outside of the company. These documents and policies from Moog’s employee handbook may contain references to materials that are accessible only from inside of Moog’s computing network. Employees should always consult their employee handbook for the most up-to-date, detailed and accurate information.
