Moog has been supplying Superior Engineering and Advanced Technologies to the Military Aircraft market since the company’s inception in the 1950’s. Moog’s founder invented what became the enabling technology for Fly-by-Wire flight control systems used in today’s modern aircraft. Every step along the way, Moog has been instrumental in advancing the state-of-the-art.
In the 1980's we led the development of the distributed Fly-by-Wire flight control system for the B-2. In the 1990's we developed the EM based flight control system for the X-43 Hyper-X UAV. Today we are delivering the self-contained Electrohydrostatic Actuation Systems controlling primary flight surfaces on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
Our system solutions provide precision control of flight surfaces on supersonic aircraft supporting the air superiority enjoyed by the US and its allies.
Our product based solutions draw upon our extensive actuation and control heritage. With the broadest range of actuation and control technology available in the market we are able to address the most challenging applications with proven time tested building blocks.
