Moog Australia Celebrates Official Opening of New Office in Canberra

Canberra Australia, ACT, Australia, September, 3, 2018 – Moog Australia Pty. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Moog Inc., celebrates the official opening of its new office in Canberra—the capital of Australia.

ACT’s Defence Industry Advocate, Kate Lundy, officially opened the office late last week during a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held in the new facility located at 33 Ainslie Place, Canberra. Moog has opened the new office in Canberra as part of its ongoing commitment to further enhance and develop its support of the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF’s) sovereign capability requirements. Expanding to and establishing local presence in Canberra facilitates closer contact between Moog and its key customers including the Commonwealth of Australia (COA), ADF, and key primes.

“Moog has made a substantial contribution to Australian industry and the ADF over the last 40 years. The opening of this new office is a key milestone that allows us to better serve key stakeholders. This positions Moog to play an active role in the development of Australian sovereign capability requirements on future ADF platforms,” said Bryan O’Connor, Managing Director, Moog Australia.

Following a significant number of acquisition programs, which involve Moog equipment in Air, Land and Sea defence activities, Moog are preparing to add further manufacturing and sustainment capability to support a number of ADF Platforms and systems. The opening of the Canberra office is further progress in Moog’s growing commitment to support the Australian Defence Force.

The Canberra facility, which will operate as a sales and program management office, is Moog’s third location in Australia adding to its head office located in Heatherton in Melbourne and other sales office located in Bella Vista in Sydney. Andrew O’Donnell who has recently joined Moog Australia as a Defence Systems’ Program Manager, after 20 years of service to the ADF in the Army, is based in the office and is managing and supporting Moog Australia’s defence activity.
