Mineral Wells, TX – Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B), a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and systems integrator of high-performance precision motion and fluid controls, and control systems announced a milestone demonstration of its Genesys GRC 4000 4-axis rotorcraft autopilot. Integrated into the Black Hawk Genesys Avionics Suite™, the GRC 4000 successfully performed a demonstration of fully automated liftoff, hover, enroute flight, and landing on a UH-60 in October 2025 — delivering capabilities that dramatically reduce pilot workload and expands mission capability.
“The future of aviation is increased safety and aircraft performance through automation,” said Nick Bogner, Director of Business Development, Moog Avionics. “The GRC 4000 performs constant, high complexity, control tasks allowing pilots to focus on mission-critical roles — while improving safety and ensuring mission success.”
Why this matters:
A. True automation: One-button engagement moves the UH-60 into automated liftoff, hover, cruise, and landing modes, enabling pilots to focus on other mission-critical tasks.
B. Reduced workload and enhanced safety: The autopilot’s stability augmentation and envelope protection help recover the aircraft to a near-level attitude and protect against over-speed and under-speed conditions.
C. IFR capability: The GRC 4000 provides stability and autopilot engagement from startup through shutdown, improving performance across all flight phases and environmental conditions.
