SLEF Series

FLEXIBLE ELECTRIC LINEAR SERVO ACTUATORS

Moog electric actuators are the best choice for low maintenance, high efficiency applications. Avoiding the use of pressurized oil lines, these electro-mechanical solutions require little upkeep and  are an environmentally friendly  alternative to hydraulic actuation, coupling smoothness and accuracy of movement with long operational life, even with high payloads.

The Moog SLEF Series offer the following advantages:

  • Higher forces, rod speeds and longer strokes than Standard Actuator
  • Inline and foldback design with internal anti-rotation
  • Variety of motor windings for optimum performance
  • Several screw leads for speed/force variations
  • Maximum force of 115.6 kN (25,988 lbf)
  • Rod speeds to 1,600 mm/sec (63 in/sec)
  • Absolute encoder or resolver
  • P65 rating
  • Both grease and oil filled options are available

Wimbledon - Moog's Design Is Moving On Up

Learn about the control architecture Moog developed for the actuated elements of a moving roof on the Centre Court at Wimbledon in the United Kingdom. The project entailed supplying 148 axes of control with products and software for closed-loop control for the roof movement. Engineers from 6 countries worked together from definition of requirements to final implementation to on-going support to provide a truly collaborative solution for a very special customer.
