MHD Rockland and Moog Inc. Announce Agreement to Co-Manage Distribution for the P-3 Orion
Crofton, MD - September 14, 2018 - MHD-ROCKLAND Inc. is delighted to announce an exclusive Distribution Agreement with Moog Aircraft Group. This agreement is to manage the demand for Moog Aircraft Group equipment for all international P-3 Orion operators and related variants.
“We are extremely honored to be chosen by Moog Aircraft Group and excited to work in a more cohesive manner with the P-3 Orion international community,” said Andrew Smallbone, Managing Director of MHD-ROCKLAND Inc. “There are great synergies here to be explored by partnering with Moog Aircraft Group. We intend to incorporate these into already established long-term support agreements with operators and offer unique support from the OEM to sustain and extend operational life.”
“Our primary goal with this distribution agreement is to ensure worldwide support of our P-3 Orion portfolio. MHD ROCKLAND’s experience in the P-3 Orion community provides Moog Aircraft Group with a great opportunity to enhance our existing customer support,” said Paul Blunden, Director International Military Sustainment for Moog Aircraft Group.
Moog has been supporting the P-3 Orion legacy program since 1994, providing repair services and spare part sales. In 1995, Moog developed new temperature control valves for the U.S. Navy’s SRP upgrade program. The valves are a part of the core kit and are implemented on all upgraded aircraft. Moog will continue to develop new hardware for the P-3 Orion, when necessary, to extend the life of the aircraft.
