While other actuators have the traditional 4 pad design, the Moog Hydrostatic Bearing Hydraulic Servo Actuators include an innovative 6 pad hydrostatic bearing design. This yields much improved side load test capabilities, compared to traditional design.

ADVANCED CUSHION DESIGN FOR HIGHER RELIABILITY AND SAFETY

Moog Engineers took a traditional actuator design and made significant improvements to develop a truly better cushioning system. The actuator incorporates this advanced design to ensure safety and prevent equipment damage. This actuator series features a cushion at each end to ensure that the actuator will be decelerated before reaching end of stroke in both directions.
