Electropneumatic Actuation

Electropneumatic servoactuation is an alternative to electromechanical and electrohydraulic actuation for some low power applications.

Use of compressed gas to power a high performance servoactuation system can be an attractive, lower cost alternative, to other actuation technologies. Moog pneumatic servoactuators are used primarily in aerospace applications. We offer custom designed electropneumatic actuators and systems that articulate the fins on tactical missiles steering them to targets; and that control the flow of propellant by positioning a valve on a liquid rocket engine. These products are designed to meet demanding performance requirements while operating in extremely harsh environments.
