Moog to Exhibit Multi-Domain Mission Critical Solutions at Space and Missile Defense Symposium 2022

East Aurora, NY (July 27, 2022) – Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B) Space and Defense Group will highlight multi-domain, mission-critical solutions to an expected audience of over 4,500 industry professionals at the Space and Missile Defense (SMD) Symposium 2022 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL. Moog will be hosting visitors in Booth 1401 in the South Hall from August 9-11. Moog will feature its Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP®) and Small Launch Orbital Maneuvering Vehicle (SL-OMV). Additionally, on display will be high-speed and tactical control surface actuators engineered for precision missile steering, as well as an interactive display featuring the full breadth of Moog’s missile capabilities.

The SMD RIwP display will introduce a dual Stinger Vehicle Universal Launcher (SVUL) configuration with a turreted Directed Energy (DE) capability which will address the full spectrum of short-range air threats. This configuration provides a unique lethality mix with gun, missile, and DE effectors onto a single weapons platform. The platform- and weapon-agnostic RIwP provides industry leading capability to host maximum lethality missile payloads while increasing warfighter survivability with the ability to reload direct fire weapons under the protection of armor.

Moog will also showcase its space vehicles capabilities. The Small Launch Orbital Maneuvering Vehicle is one of Moog’s propulsive tugs for secondary payload deployment focused on Venture Class Launch Vehicles. SL-OMV is payload configurable for CubeSats through ESPA-Class spacecraft. It can be used to disperse CubeSats constellations or deliver ESPA-Class spacecraft to their ideal orbit. SL-OMV has its own avionics, power, green propulsion, and communications systems that are configurable for short duration missions.

Additionally, at SMD will be Moog’s interactive missile, spacecraft, and launch vehicle display which allows visitors to explore innovative solutions supporting stages one, two, and three of hypersonic missiles and interceptors. Moog provides precision steering controls for the missile market across hypersonic and long-range ballistic missiles, tactical and strike systems, long-range standoff systems, as well as air and missile defense systems. Capabilities also include power systems, propulsion systems, avionics, and integrated solutions, enabling warfighters across all stages of the offensive strike and defensive intercept missions.

SMD Symposium 2022 brings the top government and industry leaders in Space and Missile Defense together in one event. The SMD Symposium is the premier event in the space and missile defense community for educational and professional development.
