Located in Blacksburg, VA, the Material Analysis Lab is home to a dedicated team of accomplished scientists, engineers, technologists and professionals that support our high performance standards and help drive continued product and technology innovation.

Our lab supports OEM customers worldwide, serving a wide range of products and applications with the following capabilities:

• Material and Process Development – serves two core functions:
  • Environmental Compatibility: Specialists ensure products perform optimally in environments typical of their intended applications (e.g. measuring chemical and thermal compatibility).
  • New Material Development: We use continuous research to innovate new solutions and develop innovative proprietary products that support our customer’s increasingly demanding applications.

• Failure Analysis – Products wear out and fail occasionally. Analyzing specific causes behind yield or performance issues, including the identification of wear, corrosion and microscopic levels of contaminants, allows Moog to continuously improve our products.
