Tactically Responsive Spacecraft

Moog Tactically Responsive Spacecraft build upon our flight proven satellite bus heritage. They are modular, scalable platforms that are configurable for both short durations and multi-year missions in a wide range of orbits and transfer capabilities. The overall structure is optimized for payload and launch configuration and is easily tailored for different mounting requirements.

Low-cost Divert and Attitude Control System (LDACS)

Today’s threats require sophisticated Ballistic Missile Defense Systems to protect the US and its allies. Moog fluid components and engines are integrated into propulsive Divert and Attitude Control Systems (DACS).

 

Satellite Propulsion Systems and Equipment

Moog offers several electric propulsion system components that can be integrated into subsystems to control propellant pressure and or flow. Common subsystem names include: Propellant Management Assembly, Xenon Flow Controller, Proportional Xenon Feed System, Xenon Control Assembly, Flow Control Unit, and Proportional Xenon Flow Assembly depending on the customer.

 

Control Actuation Systems

Moog’s high performance electromechanical and hydraulic control actuation systems deliver solutions for interceptors, and launch systems ensuring rapid response and accuracy in missile defense and space based threat engagement.

Avionics

Moog's advanced avionics are designed specifically for spacecraft & payload applications. Systems are available for integrated Command and Data Handling (C&DH), Electrical Power System (EPS), payload processing and data storage, GPS receivers, motor controllers and power distribution/control. Design options include single string and redundant configurations. All avionics are tailored to meet mission requirements.

 

Missile Guidance and Steering

Moog integrates advanced sensors, control electronics, and actuation to deliver agile, high-precision missile guidance and steering. These systems support rapid target acquisition and interception for layered defense under the Golden Dome framework.

 

Attitude Control Systems

Moog’s attitude control systems including reaction wheels, control moment gyros, and thruster-based solutions provide precise orientation and stabilization for satellites and interceptors, enabling accurate targeting and persistent surveillance.

 

Radar and Launcher Positioning and Leveling Systems

Moog’s rugged motion control systems ensure fast, accurate positioning and leveling of radar and launcher platforms. These systems are critical for maintaining sensor alignment and rapid deployment in integrated air and missile defense operations.

 

Nav single board receiver

Integrated Navigation Sensors

Moog’s inertial and GNSS-based navigation sensors provide resilient, high-accuracy positioning. Designed for GPS-contested environments, they support guidance for space vehicles.

 

Integrated GN&C Systems

Moog’s integrated Guidance, Navigation & Control systems combine avionics, sensors, and actuation. These systems enable targeting, navigation, and engagement for interceptors and space-based defense assets.
