These advantages ultimately contribute to improved performance, cost savings, and better mission execution.

OASIS Open Architecture

Moog’s OASIS® (Open Architecture System Integration Symbology) works in conjunction with standard aviation interfaces and can handle any custom-defined label in addition to all published standard labels for creating specific, user-defined symbology without affecting the certification of the displays. In fact, OASIS provides the aircraft OEM, integrator, or operator the ability to interface with new devices and add new capabilities without the complexities associated with certification requirements.
The patented OASIS software lowers development, integration, and maintenance costs by leveraging standardized components, reducing development time, and enabling customization directly towards customer needs. This software is partitioned from the DO-178 software so it doesn’t require stringent FAA software certification. Examples include engine sensor indications, caution advisory warnings, simulated weapons pages, fire suppression water loads, and other mission-specific information.
Certification Capabilities
Want More Information? Contact Us
Moog has full certification capabilities including: DO-178 DAL Level A software certification, DO-160 and MIL STD hardware and electrical certifications, plus ODA and FAA Supplemental Type Certification approval. With Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) capability Moog is permitted to perform certifications and oversight functions on behalf of the FAA, significantly reducing certification timelines, and cost to achieve the STC.
Moog also has hands-on experience in developing FAA and foreign STCs through in-depth understanding of certification authorities’ regulations, guidelines, and processes. Moog possesses over 40 years of expertise in assessing and mitigating risks associated with aircraft/avionics modifications. This includes identifying potential safety concerns, analyzing failure modes, and developing strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of the modified aircraft. Moog is known for achieving customer’s required avionics architecture STCs in aggressive timeframes to meet customer needs.

Training and Simulation

Moog's expert instructors and training resources support pilots transitioning to Genesys Avionics Suite features, such as flight management, hover vectors, collision avoidance, Terrain Awareness and Warning Systems, and more. Knowing how to effectively use and interpret these systems can significantly decrease pilot workload and increase safety.
Optimally understanding and utilizing the Genesys Avionics SuiteTM leads to more efficient flight operations. Through our extensive training resources, pilots learn to skillfully plan routes, depict relevant information, and manage engine & caution warnings. Fully understanding the full feature set of the Genesys Avionics Suite ultimately results in cost savings through efficient aircraft management and operations.
Moog promotes a Train-the-Trainer program for fleet operators and OEMs for recurrent training, customer aircraft deliveries, and new employee education. Moog provides standardized training methods ensuring customers have consistency in the delivery of Moog’s product features and capabilities.
